
Our economic contribution to Georgia remains significant. We employ more than 300 people and generate business for local suppliers and contractors. We also generate tax income, including through tariffs on our business. While our main priority is to manage safe and reliable operations, we also continue to invest in projects to support education, the environment, promote business and help the energy sector.
BTC operating and design efficiency in Georgia reached 100% in December 2008.
Since BTC opened more than 650 tankers have been loaded and departed from Ceyhan Terminal in Turkey. Oil from Kazakhstan has also started being shipped in recent months.
The Baku-Supsa pipeline was re-started again in November to take oil from the ACG oil field in the Caspian to the Black Sea.
